Molimi

Molimi was originally born in Soweto and is the youngest of the children in his family. It was through the “grace of God, hard work and an optimistic attitude” that three successive bursaries led him to being educated at St. Peters Preparatory, St Albans College and the University of Pretoria respectively. Of all the things Molimi could have done, he decided to be a motivational speaker, an unconventional choice for someone his age. “The fulfilment that he constantly receives from inspiring and empowering people was one of the factors that led him to pursue a career as a motivational speaker. He started motivational speaking when he was in his first year at University and loved it,” he says “The other factor was that he was making a difference in people's lives by re-awakening the sleeping giant within them and people were willing to reward him financially. Lastly, it was the immense support from his powerful mentors who are leaders in the motivational industry.”

Mbuyiselo Botha’s upbringing was distressingly dysfunctional in many ways. He grew up under severely impoveriched conditions and did not know the paternity of his own father. Today he has found some measure of healing by striving to be a fully attentive and loving dad to his own children. He says children have an innate wisdom, and often teach us how to walk our talk. His story is a powerful lesson of letting go of the past hurts. Shot during the Sharpville rent boycott in the mid eightees Mbuyiselo became partially paralysed overnight. Millions of South African children grow up without their fathers, a situation that has a profound impact on their lives. But a new initiative that encourages men to care for Mbuyiselo’s fatherlessness has left an indelible mark on his life, and he acknowledges that it was often difficult for him as a young man without a male role model. But it also left him with a fierce determination to become the father he dreamed of for his own children.

Seth Mazibuko Part II

Seth Sandile Mazibuko, was one of the youngest political activists of 1976. The struggle years were the most vicious and brutal years in the history of our country South Africa. Years and decades have rolled by, years when the apartheid regime, had hit squads whose job was to kill black people in the trains and locations. Hit squads that were funded by the Nationalist Party Government to kill those that were in exile, those who were within the country and those who stood for the truth and were tortured on Robben Island. Indeed! Apartheid was evil. He was sentenced to Robben Island at the age of 16.

Seth Sandile Mazibuko

Today, we feature Seth Sandile Mazibuko, one of the youngest political activists of 1976 who ended up with a ten year sentence. Sath, let me borrow a few lines from James Allen when he said” noting the Saintly characters and wide influence of former Robben islanders, the captures must have remarked on how chance helps you at every turn! “and yet they did not see the trials and failure and struggles which these men have encountered in order to gain their experience. They have no knowledge of sacrifices they have made, of the undaunted efforts they have put forth, of the faith they have exercised so that they may overcome, the insurmountable and realize the vision of their heart. They do not the darkness and the heartaches; they only see the light and joy and call it “luck.” They do not see the long and arduous journey, but only behold the pleasant goal and call it “good fortune.” They do not understand the process, but only perceive the result and call it chance.”In all human affairs there are efforts and there are results. The strength of the effort,is the measure of the result. Change is not. Gifts, powers, material, intellectual, and spiritual possessions, are the fruits of effort. They are thoughts completed, objectives accomplished and visions realized.
