In the last game of the first half of the season, the Lakers take the loss up north to the Sacramento Kings. Despite no LeBron James, no Anthony Davis, no Alex Caruso, and no Marc Gasol for the Lakers, they took the Kings to their limits as they had multiple chances to seal the win near the end of the game. Kyle Kuzma, who started in place of LeBron James and Montrezl Harrell, who went back to coming off the bench, each recorded a double-double to end the first half of the season. Dennis Schroder was one assist away from also recording a double-double and led all Lakers with 28 points. In a game where Devin Booker was ejected and Chris Paul was held to only 8 points, the Lakers couldn't overcome the Suns shooting from deep as Phoenix take the win, 114-104. LeBron James had a game-high 38 points, but it wasn't enough as the Suns made 55% of their 3-point shots and had seven players hit multiple from deep. One of those Suns players was Dario Saric, who scored 10 of his 21 points in the 4th quarter to help seal the win. Kyle Kuzma and Marc Gasol were late scratches and both did not play. In a game where the entire team roster played multiple minutes, it was LeBron James who led the way with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks while only playing 24 minutes, a season-low. The Lakers defense contained Steph Curry and only allowed him to hit 2 threes and score only 16 points. Kyle Kuzma continues his great season coming off the bench as he records his eighth double-double of the season. The Lakers defense steps up in a big way as they allow only 36 points in the second half to the Trail Blazers and snap their 4-game losing streak, 102-93. Dennis Schroder scored 22 points in his return including a perfect 9 for 9 from the free-throw line.
