Hey Healing Bestie, What if I told you that God will take you exactly as you are? Does that send you down a rabbit hole thinking about all of the things you should be doing right or should have done right? Whew, I totally get it. I think this is the same thing the woman at the well may have thought when Jesus clearly stated the sin she was in. But, the important thing to see here is that He still offered her the gift of God even after that. We too, can come to Jesus with whatever is burdening us and be free from it. He will work on it in us and with us. We just have to come to the light and truth of what is going on. Sin is brought to the light to be forgiven and that is what we get through Jesus forgiveness and hope. May this restore your hope in overcoming any addiction and/or habit that has you in a stronghold or bound in this season? Healing Bestie! Holy Spirit is really sitting with me this morning on worth. We have everything in Jesus and through Jesus. We do not have to thirst for anything once we have Jesus. To have Jesus is to have everything. Someone needs to be reminded of that this morning- that their whole life is in Jesus. I think about the disciples having to follow Jesus and they gave up everything- their homes, their families, their WHOLE life and that is exactly what it is with Jesus- we give up everything we thought we wanted for EVERYTHING WE NEED! So I hope today that you are reminded that everything you are longing for is in Jesus. Whatever the season and reason, it is in Jesus Christ. Start to surrender it all one by one and claim that in the Name of Jesus, it has to surrender and come under Him. That no weapon formed shall prosper against you and that you are blessed going in and coming out. Happy International Women's Day!! 💜💜💜 ➡️There I was in tears as I heard the reciting of Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelou on the Netflix show, Family Reunion. And, I watch this show so many times because I just have a thing for good family shows that represent the healthy family values and lifestyle I want to build, but this one time it hit differently. In the words, I felt apart of me heal and resonated with my story of the beauty of resilience, endurance and feminity at its finest. I can remember my earliest childhood memory of my aunt, a language arts teacher, choosing this as one of my poems in a program we had at my school and I remember how I took for granted the need for the affirmation and love of being a woman. That is when God's glory shines the brightest when we are released from those things not aligned with God and God can use us to be exactly who we were always called to be. Hey Resilient Queen, Hey!  Trauma is a tough subject but it is real and it happens to most of us. We experience it and it hurts afterwards. That is the truth. And when we try to build our relationship with God we trip up because we result all of those experiences to our intimate relationship with God. God is not the trauma and living with God post trauma is freeing. I pray that you get to experience that Queen! In this episode we discuss the need for us to trust God again post trauma.
