About
We have travelled around the world dreaming of playing sport professionally... and we never made it. However, if if there is one skill we have acquired across that journey it is the art of being a great team-mate. We discuss anything that seems topical this week, we invent our own radio style segments and we never let an opportunity for a pun pass by! That we can guarantee.  We know life gets busy, so this is our way of telling stories and having a chat with one another. So grab a beer, coffee or glass of wine and join us in the club house this week.

Have you ever seen someone be one week early to an event? Leigh managed it this week! Dave the Brit that knows Jack Shit is up to his usual tricks with his Joke of the Week selection... at least this one was quite educational. Tim Franklin just finished running around the world which meant that we had to consider what our 'Franklin Moment' is in our lives up until this point. We have a request to name WiFi which connects the group nicely. We caught up with Mitch who you may remember was gifted a 'Crystal Dilly' and we needed more details. A Choccy sent an email in which should really help with the 75 hard challenge. We have found the best Hot Chip in Melbourne! Potentially up there with Super Rooster… we know that’s a massive call. 234. Friends With Benefits Update*

Highlight on this episode is definitely our catch up with Anon, she needs no introduction obviously but regardless she is the person who previously wrote in to tell us about her forgetting her casual sex partner's name! We also look at the growing concerns when it comes to supply issues with eggs, Leigh has the solution! Skin has some of the best Letter change the plots from his list of 2000 while Gode, Leigh and Mickus aim to match his intensity. 233. Stop Torturing me with your RACK!

Gode presents a text message from his wife and the challenge is; can the rest of the boys decipher what she was trying to say to him?! Skin has compiled some of the best (and worst in some cases) pickup lines that have been sent in! We are heading to Melbourne to try and find the best chip in the world. We debate the criteria we should be looking for and how we will decide what places need to be visited. Leigh heard a gag recently that he reckons is in the top 5 most overused jokes of all time. This leads to calling out some of the phrases that everyone has heard too much a phrase which makes for an insane laugh! 232. Is that a BODY Part?!

Leigh presents the boys with a Skin lookalike which even Skin thought was himself! We love Nicknames as you know and we are pretty sure this instalment is incredibly strong. Skin has been on the lookout for some of the dumbest criminals in society, and we have not one... but two requests to name a Queen Bee in our Namestorm segment. Mickus is spitting the ... sausage? Not an expression we were familiar with before this week! We had a Joke on the Chocline that has the boys in tears and there is a new segment; Death, Taxes and... You seem to love that segment! The responses are magnificent. Our latest hypothetical debate is one that brings up some interesting choices. Also, Skin tells a genuinely good joke, which unfortunately left us stumped! 230. That's my wife's UNDERWEAR!

Whilst on a run Leigh hears some of the finest parenting out there when a Dad was trying to teach his very young son some new vocabulary! The boys look into Aussie slang after a Choccie listener wrote in asking for help. He didn't ask for our own slang words we use but we also gave that to him. Leigh, Skin and Mickus are taking part in the Gold Coast Marathon again this year and we catch up with them to see how their training is going! We also look into some Actors that play the same characters across multiple movies and some of these blew our minds (glad we said minds). 229. What's In Your Car for a Rainy Day?

We witnessed a very special debut this week when they went to watch the Brisbane Lions play and Leigh is convinced the only person who may be able to achieve a similar debut is Mickus. To clarify this is not because of his talent but more his random collection of items in his car. Gode lost his Whoop Band and has taken to blaming his daughter for it's misplacement; his wife is not so keen to let the blame game fly. Skin in in the Maldives on his Honeymoon and we give him a call to see what the newlyweds have been up to. We also have some amazing Must or Dust topics sent in from the Choccies that have Leigh, Gode and Mickus in stitches! 228. Eloise and Mitch get Hitched!

Skin and Eloise were married last week just ten short years after meeting each other. We speak to both of them about the whirlwind nature of their relationship and tell some of the more humorous stories from the night. It was also only fitting to partake in a 'Love Song' themed 'Lyric Substitut-Skin' in honour of the week's events. Leigh has found a new sporting curse that is prevalent at the moment and Gode is all over a different one that has been going for some time. 227. Parody Movies We Would Love to See!

Skin has had a blunder when travelling to the studio which leads to Gode and Leigh reminiscing about Gode using cable ties in a unique way! Leigh and Skin recently played an Aussie Rules game and were sledged mercilessly by onlookers! Gode’s favourite segment, Letter Change the Plot, provides some of the best movie title adaptations we have heard! Leigh presents the boys with a new Namestorm opportunity for a Crayfish and Gode and Skin go wild trying to rename them! 226. What NOT to do at a bachelor party!

We are coming fresh off Skin's Bucks weekend and there are many tales that need to be told! Leigh, Mickus and Gode came up with the brilliant plan to dress Skin up as a Prince whilst the rest of the group were his Alberts (Einsteins)! Leigh received an email this week that required the team's undivided attention as they hunted for solutions to the flagged scenario. Skin has also had a blinder when it comes to his latest wedding job from Eloise which leads to the longest car journey home you could imagine! The team play Humdog Millionaire again this week and Gode makes some bold claims about some of the most iconic songs in history! Leigh, Skin, Mickus and Dizzle (Leigh & Skins Mum) also try their hand at some tongue twisters where Mickus dominates and shows the boys just how it's done! 224. How Old is Skin Really?

After receiving a lot of comments about Skin looking far far older than 27, Leigh took it upon himself to try and rebuild his self esteem... this backfired! Skin did use the week to look into Bryan Johnson and his attempts at slowing down the ageing process though, and he has some key findings. Leigh puts on an absolute masterclass in pun making with a couple of very fast thinking one liners that leave Gode in tears (again)! Mickus is also on hand to help all you marathon runners figure out how and when to make the most efficient pit stop during your races this year. One of our favourite episodes. 223. Forgetting Your Fiancee's Birthday!

It was Eloise's birthday recently and Skin's excuse for forgetting it is cringeworthy to say the least! Eloise joins us this week and reveals what actually went down on that infamous day! Gode also has one of those classic, "Why did I just say that?" moments at the Barber this week and Leigh dobs Mickus in for making a very similar mistake! Skin and Dave the Brit (that knows jack shit) went to the Formula 1 this week and had some interesting interactions with people... shock horror... but notably with F1 driver Oscar Piastri! Finally Mickus, Skin and Leigh headed to Super Rooster in Toowoomba to check out the "Best Hot Chip in the World." Gode and Leigh go on a few pun runs which will genuinely leave you in stitches! We take a look at the richest 250 people in Australia which leads to the boys wondering why they didn't get a place on this list. Very stiff to miss out. We also take a look at some of the dumb things people have spent money on including a guy who was really committed to getting his band to #1 on the charts! Social media algorithms are a strange thing and what comes up on the boys "For You" Pages can be pretty odd to say the least! 220. Getting Dirty in a Public Swimming Pool

Skin kicks us off with a fantastic story that you leave you wondering how it is possible to forget something of this nature! Obviously the rest of the gang jump on this to roast Skin… and by everyone we mainly mean Gode. Leigh is self proclaimed best on ground in this week's episode with a number of quick one liners that even catch Gode off guard. Unfortunately Mickus didn’t get the memo and gets a stern telling off for not giving Leigh the credit he deserves! We also visit one of our favourite segments Must or Dust with Mickus spilling the details of his BBQ habits! Skin had one job for his wedding and went all out for his planning efforts. Leigh, Gode and Mickus have confirmed that they will be performing Skin's favourite Lyric Substituskin at the wedding and they add some more classics to the books for Skin to consider! Gode is stumped at Mickus' choice to not wear headphones from the start of the pod leading to the Joke of the week segment being derailed for a serious length of time. 217. Cert IV In Podcasting

"Embrace imperfections" is a motto/ podcast rule that we have run with for quite some time now however, in this week's episode, Mickus produces one of the greatest imperfections we have seen! Leigh and Gode get so off track on pun runs on two particular occasions that no one is really even sure what Gode ends up saying! Skin is at his usual hateful best when it comes to the puns. Skin is also pressed for some guesses about what type of guy Pythagoras was, and how many times we can use his theorem throughout an episode. 216. "I've Done Some Things"

There is a nice amount of pizazz in this episode and we can't quite put our finger on the reason as to why. Perhaps it is because the infamous marathon video is finally out on YouTube. It seems to have loosened Skin up a bit in particular. Unfortunately Gode is feeling slightly lighter in the pocket this week courtesy of some shopping by his daughter. 215. A Guinea Pig Named 'Daddy' feat. Jana

Welcome back! In something close to the words from Fall Out Boy, let's take over because the break's over. Jana joins us this episode with some super exciting news, although it does make Leigh's typical line of questioning a little bit tougher. We get to hear some of the best dating app profiles, Jana has a million name options for her new Guinea Pigs and we witness one of the greatest come back wins in history! Good Chat: Save It For The Podcast feat. Leigh

Last of this Good Chat series of conversations and it isn't the shortest episode but it is with the shortest person... Leighthal. What shaped his ridiculous sense of humour, why can he bowl with both arms and why did he move to Adelaide. The man who usually drives the podcast is now in the passenger seat being asked plenty of questions about himself. It's a reasonable chat... a 'Good Chat' you might even say!Oh P.s. Good Chat: Love at First Sight feat. Skin

Ever wondered how Skin got his nickname? Or wondered what his real name actually is? Well this is the episode for you. It isn't ridiculous to say that Skin is the most intellectually inclined member of We Got The Chocolates. He has a Bachelor of Science which he has gone onto use regularly in his daily life and he had a very keen eye for entrepreneurship in his younger years. Despite this, he was essentially a superstar Rugby League player as a 12 year old before his career was cruelly cut short by lack of interest.Enjoy Skin's good chat. Good Chat: Is that Fusilli of Me? feat. Gode

Gode is one of our favourite humans obviously. Great cricketer, great dad but most importantly he is brilliant off the cuff and can tell a story with the best of them. We have been looking forward to sitting down with him and having a 'Good Chat'. He tells us how he managed to impress his love interest as a skinny red head, wha he believes to be the most difficult part of parenting and what actually happened around that notorious debut story. We have appreciated the feedback on these episodes so far so we hope you enjoy this one as much as we did. Love you ❤️Oh P.s. Happy 200th Episode!

We went to the Gabba for our 200th Ep celebration and things went... swimmingly. That's a really clever joke that you will get once you have listened. It was great to get the opportunity to celebrate our 200th Episode after 214 episodes. We brought some of the unluckiest Choccies we know along for the occasion so we captured their thoughts on all subjects from the David Beckham scandal to whether 10,000 rats is a wise choice in an animal kingdom battle! We also use this episode to recap just how unlucky some of the entrants were. Please enjoy!Oh P.s. Good Chat: Drinking Beers & Running Marathons feat. Mickus

We went to the Hunter Valley recently and used the down time as a way to learn more about each other. The hope was simply that you would get a chance to learn a bit more about each person outside of what you hear on the weekly We Got The Chocolates podcast. Mickus was first to take centre stage. He is a wedding videographer, loves surfing and building lego but there is also plenty more to know about this great man!Hope you enjoy this relaxed chat with the guy responsible for filming the content you see... but also responsible for 90% of the laughs you hear!Oh P.s. 2023 Summary - Top 10 Moments

We used this week to look back at our favourite moments from 2023. We think this is our top 10 but we weren't confident enough to put more than three in actual order. So please do let us know what you think should round out the top 5! Enjoy some of the moments that made us laugh the most this year. Thank you so much for coming on this journey with us, good luck in the future and we will speak to you next week. Oh P.s. 214. Dasher Baron Cohen

This episode is Christmas. You have probably never heard Reindeer mentioned so many times in one podcast episode ever in your life but we are so okay with that for one week of the year. We are really going to struggle to narrow down some of the unlucky people entering the 200th episode competition as you will hear. Gode has the best Christmas song reveal ever and Mickus' menu for his Christmas Lunch sounds somewhat questionable. We find out just how generous of a guy Mickus can be when it comes to shouting a round! Crashing your car is potentially unlucky enough but crashing your car into your girlfriend's car in the main street of a town just seems ridiculous, but not for one particular Choccie! Gode has created a new game although it could be very tough for you to make it through the jingle for it. We are not sure if an episode has ever been directly named after Mickus but we were pretty sure that his efforts on the weekend meant that this one needed to be. He attended the Better Beer 'Day For It' party and after telling us that he would be leaving early, he tucked into a large one. You heard correctly, we are heading across to the new studio (Nudio), but not before we did one final episode in the space where everything kicked off. We use this episode to take a little trip down memory lane and look back at some of the... well we wouldn't say highlights but maybe like "pivotal moments". We have some Social Sins & Wins to get through and we are hoping Robbie Williams pays us some Royalties. 210. Give Me A Baby... Name

Eloise and Rochelle join us to shed some light on what happened with this whole, "Being tricked into running a half marathon situation". It wasn't the most uplifted we have ever felt on the podcast. Which is quite concerning considering we record with Gode every week! We have a request to name a genuine human child... and we come through with the goods obviously. A Choccie sends in a hypothetical that is tailored specifically for Mickus. However, we really did not expect him to take it the direction he did! Is there any truth to the rumour that Leigh and Skin are incredibly talented and gifted painters? Is the new office space in ridiculously safe hands? Changing topic completely but still on the question train... does everyone shower in the morning? It is another week of delving deep to discover the answers to these types of questions. When we finished this episode we looked at each other in the eye and Mickus said, "I'm going because it's really late". However, we all know if he had of stayed for any longer he would have said, "That episode was a genuine banger". Nice feedback to receive but we would rather hear it from you to be honest. It had some cracking nicknames that will really get the noggin working, some horrific dating stories, changing a letter to significantly impact the plots of movies, and we debut a new game to find out who hums the most! Skin has left Leighthal in charge of organising his Bucks Party/ Stag Do. He does't feel particularly confident leaving him responsible for anything that requires prior planning so Leighthal asked you for ideas... and we aren't sure if the Do's were very helpful but the Don'ts definitely were! Back then Major League Cricket seemed so far away from starting, however fast forwarding to today and it has already started with a bang!Enjoy this piece of bonus content as we attempt to strike the balance between telling many of the funny stories Dashy has contributed to our lives, but also getting some insight into the plan for introducing cricket to the US and how one of the masterminds behind it explains it to girls he goes on dates with!We wouldn't be able to make this episode firstly without the support of our sponsors, and secondly without your support. 191. Here's a Scoop!

There is no question that none of us are known combatants and Gode's story from the weekend really highlights that. We talk through the training schedule for jingle practice and name a new fridge. We don't want to give much away here, but one of the fridge names is all time. Of course we also follow up on the Scoop School saga because that is just what we do... we get to the bottom of things... mainly the ladder in most sporting teams we play in. Gode has a story about Leigh's keenness to save a dollar, there are plenty more nicknames for you to take to your workplace and we finally let you all know what we think of Baz Ball. Apparently no one is massively sold on the name though so we can feel a 'Namestorm' coming on! 185. I Like Big Skin and I Cannot Lie

Is it possible to find silver linings in the most infuriating situations? Leigh had a serious mishap at the driving range that involves a cascade of golf balls, and our beloved Choccies (our listeners) join in the fun by sending in songs where they replace the lyrics with the word 'Skin,' resulting in a musical extravaganza. 94. Georgia Redmayne: "It's Not Usually Like This"

The incredibly talented Georgia Redmayne ditches the wicketkeeping gloves and joins us for a chat! She has played all over Australia and overseas so is well qualified to discuss the best tea options and why she believes the phrase "wettest summer ever" is overused in England. .Georgia’s running and diving style come into question but she also tells a stunning story about her a double hat-trick in under 12s which restores her confidence. Georgia is a doctor (real one as Leigh establishes) and has a handy trick that she self-prescribed for how to keep playing after breaking a finger on the cricket field.Dr Redmayne was dobbed in by her teammates for loving red wine. Dr Red-wine they call her! The Beyond Beetroot Superfood Elixir, available from Alchemy Cordial Australia, is another red coloured beverage that you should try! We mention his off the field development in dress code, from earrings and trendy hair cuts to RM Williams and Akubras. He is reminded of the nightmares of facing Andrew Gode in club cricket and the mental disintegration he was subjected to, but gets his own back as we reminisce on debut games....There is even time for Jimmy to critique his own parenting skills and for Gode to join him in outlining how fatherhood made him a better cricketer! Jimmy loves a caffeine hit to get him ready for a match and you can get yours with the help of the coffee syrups from Alchemy Cordial Australia including flavours such as hazelnut, caramel, vanilla, butterscotch and chilli! He also played for the QLD Bulls so he takes the role of “professional athlete” on this episode.  He talks us through his contributions in the T20 Bash For Cash Tournament, and Leigh and Mitch Drennan’s lack of contributions. He has many solutions for people that can’t hit sixes after claiming he hit the biggest six of all time. We get his opinion on who is funnier out of Sam Heazlett and James Bazley. 75. Sam Heazlett Reads Mean Tweets

The night Sam Heazlett rescued the Brisbane Heat. What did Haz’s teammates think of the LBR (Low Bat Raise)? We have Heazlett on the line responding to some of the classy tweets and comments that were written about him mid innings.  Mitch offered an insightful analysis into the Power Surge, as well as settling a debate over who has scored more hundreds out of Leigh Drennan and Andrew Gode; you would be within your rights to think, “Who cares”.  There are some cracking new jokes and plenty of reused innuendo ones to round out the episode.  We would love to hear from you if you have a story for us from your own sport on the weekend (regardless of the level), if you have an idea, a link to a guest or you want to get your hands on the We Got The Chocolates merchandise. 74. Day For It

Hottest 100 songs and Hottest 100 Beers. We talk quite a bit about one and not a lot about the other.  Did Douglas Henry Nut invent the doughnut?  Day for it, DFI or Dave Ferrit. What is it and why is it overpowering Instagram? Leigh tells us in his Parody.  Andrew Gode leads a BBL10 new rules review and offers ways to fix the competition.  Tim Paine is copping a hammering from many social media experts who Mitch puts in the Social Sin Bin.  We have a story about a recreational drug user going on a Ski Trip to Canada!  Get in touch with us with your stories, ideas, queries or do browse some merchandise at our website!  Hosted on Acast. 73. Morne Morkel: "I Risked My Life For A Pair Of Oakley's"

Morne Morkel is with Sam Heazlett in the Brisbane Heat BBL hotel bubble. He holds a world record for the most amount of wickets taken from No Balls in international cricket. Morne talks about recovering from his ankle injury and the weeks of quarantine he has had to do in the lead up to his first game in the Big Bash. He has encountered Sam Heazlett's frugal ways during a fines meeting. Heazlett explains why he isn't a huge fan of facing Morne in the nets and Morne explains what living with AB de Villiers was like!Australia was a horrible place to tour when Morne first made the South African squad. He was even abused by a 12 year old!If you have a guest you would like us to reach out to, get in contact at the website here. 72. Shane Warne & Andrew Symonds - The Mics Are Still On Boys

We review the break, trips to Adelaide to contribute nothing for West Torrens in the SACA competition, the Covid test and Andrew Gode starts the new year off with a joke.  The Brisbane Heat Facebook page provides a lot of 'Social Sin Bin' candidates, as does the Marnus Labuschagne on air critique that involves Shane Warne, Andrew Symonds, Tim Paine and Matthew Wade. It also cost us our place in the Instagram network which is mildly inconvenient... and by that we mean, pretty rough actually.  Donald Trump supporters also spend some time in the bin by the way. We hear a story from Brad Murphy on part two of 'Gode's Guests' about an Egyptain Tennis Ball cricketer and why he invited Brad to his wedding. Gode blasts the opener for his segment.  Our friend Trent had no idea that "Air Quotes" actually had a "How To" guide and he has been misusing them for most of his life.  We are off instagram as you will hear but you can get in touch and explore our other episodes and content at our website.  Hosted on Acast. 71. Wally Lewis: Ring A Ding Ding It's The King

Andrew Gode makes his first in person appearance on the podcast. He even provides a different location for the podcast to be recorded.  "Skin's Stats" is back as Mitch goes for the 'Lowest Totals in Cricket' edition.  Wally Lewis is on for a chat to Leigh about his movements at the moment, his new book and his thoughts on the rule changes for the 2021 NRL season.  Brad "Spud" Murphy is on for the first instalment of "Gode's Guests" to talk about his coaching stint in the IPL and his suggested rule changes for the BBL.  We start the process of developing a cricket cheat sheet for any non-cricket lovers to still contribute to summer conversations across the next six weeks!  Get in touch with us by visiting the We Got The Chocolates website. 70. Swearing On Livestream

Sam Heazlett is not able to be with us as he completes his "soft quarantine" or "purification process" as Leigh calls it.  Mitch has a great idea for Leighthal’s Christmas gift and it involves his significant hair loss.  Who Got The Chocolates features one of the great verbal gaffes from Mitch and our thoughts on the Wallabies National Anthem debate.  After last week’s chat about sporting blow ups, Leigh has produced a magnificent story right on cue… and it was live streamed.  We tried to tackle our fears head on as we speak to the man who ambushed our cricket team over the weekend, Jason Floros. Jason also gives us some insight into bowling to Chris Lynn. Get to our website, click on contact us and drop us a story, you can send it by the website form or record it into the Speakpipe. 69. Sledging In Subway

Leighthal had a runaway kid on his latest relief teaching day. The reasoning for the bolt will surprise you! Apparently bullying has taken a lot of new forms.  Why is Leigh so scared of Chris Lynn? Greg Norman's followers have won the internet in the comments section.  Mitch tells us the story about the day he was sprayed in the line at subway! We talk large sporting blow ups: Shane Warne, Jimmy Connors and Serena Williams all make the list.  Haz gets Leigh and Mitch's sister, Bryonnie, on board to dish some serious dirt on both of them... but Mitch comes out unscathed; Leigh does not.  A listener has a story about why you should play it safe and have a beer, instead of going to training.  If you have a story for us, visit the website and drop us a line or even record a message on the Speakpipe. 68. Test The Cordial

The Brisbane Heat have signed James Bazley, yet another host of the podcast to be signed with the Heat… Leigh and Mitch are still waiting.  Leighthal forgot his box for cricket training and had to get very creative to ensure the seeds were looked after.  We have a live Social Sin Binning, as Jason joins us on the phone after being relentless on the poor old Brisbane Heat marketing team.  We discuss the worst sporting awards you can possibly win which actually leads to discussing the best McDonalds dining rooms.  Plenty of applications for a Friend Of The Show card and we get one of the standout applicants on for a chat.   You can also apply to become a FOTS and get on the next episode here.  Hosted on Acast. 67. Jack Wildermuth: "Do I Send Him The Highlights Reel?"

Jack Wildermuth is another man who has got the better of Skin on the cricket field! We chat about his move from the Melbourne Renegades back to the Brisbane Heat.  BBL10 will have three new rules and Wildermuth gives his thoughts on those.  We get his T20 match day eating routine and talk about him being the Kryptonite for Australian selector George Bailey.  Jack has a long list of nicknames, refers to Leigh as the bus driver and spends time debating whether his origins are city or country.  We even have time to reminisce about the best prank Wildermuth and Adam Lockhart-Krause pulled off many years ago.  What really will help you this BBL season is being adequately clothed. For that we would recommend some WGTC merchandise.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

66. I Would Have Made It But...

Who got the chocolates last week? Has to be Will Pucovski, the Wallabies and the Maroons. We get Mitch to display some more emotion on a topic that actually fires him up.  What stopped you from making it as a professional athlete? Leighthal informs everyone of his podcast spending while we chat to our local sporting hero of the week, Daniel Drew.  What is the worst trophy you have ever been presented with? We have a couple stinkers for you! The FOTS card application form is now live! You can apply to obtain your card and be on the podcast here.  Hosted on Acast. 65. Can I Have Your Autograph?

Social Sin Bin is here! We target braggers, Joe Burns haters and obvious comments. FOTS check in with Friend of the Show number 0001… Aaron Parsons. He airs his grievances about the postage process, and how the card has cleared up a persistent rash. A FOTS card has somehow found its way onto EBAY and the post includes some intriguing background imagery. We introduce a new segment called Perfect Partners with Parso. Andrew Gode tells us who won the Melbourne Cup this year …. the only problem is, he had to tell us the night before the race was run. Mitch was asked for his autograph on the weekend by a man he was playing cricket against… and it was not because of his cricketing ability.  Check out our website to get in contact with us, find more episodes or grab some We Got The Chocolates merch! 63. Marnus Labuschagne Wins A Medal

There are some significant issues with the accuracy of the caricatures we have been utilising. Leighthal needs an Alchemy beverage due to the hangover he is experiencing. He still finds time to prank Skin though. We relive some of the highlights and obviously the lowlights from the boys flag winning performance on the weekend. We try to find out Haz’s net worth and talk about the biggest six that has ever been hit!Asking For A Friend is back with Jana in the studio as we look at the cheat codes for meeting someone new, and why a day of parenting is not as hard as a day in the field. Visit our website to contact us with your idea! 62. The Hangover 4

Heazlett is trying to find the right breakfast combo between Alchemy Health Elixir drinks and KFC nuggets. A local sporting hero took all ten wickets in an innings last weekend. We couldn’t speak to him so instead we spoke to… someone he dismissed.  Mitch grills Heazlett about his omission from the Queensland Sheffield Shield squad that travels to Adelaide.  Andrew Gode checks in to tell the greatest celebration story we have ever heard. It involves a phone charger, a paper clip and the head from a fox suit. There is even a FOTS card application to round out the episode!  Check out our website to get in contact with us, find more episodes or grab some We Got The Chocolates merch! He challenges the perception of the “dumb fast bowler”.  Whether DRS would have saved him and Australia in the second test at Edgbaston in the 2005 Ashes series.  He gives us some tips on how to sledge people… without getting suspended! Check out our website to get in contact with us or find more episodes! West Tigers hooker Harry Grant joins us for a chat around the challenges of NRL in the Covid 19 period, the dog walking expeditions he goes on to keep himself occupied and his breakout season in the NRL. We chat about the loan transition from the Melbourne Storm to the Wests Tigers, and why we aren’t experts on loans due to Haz’s Fiscally responsible behaviour. This prompts Harry to christen Haz with a new nickname! We receive a few not so anonymous tip offs from previous guest Christian Welch on some questions that should be asked and this leads to a few verbal barbs being fired back in his direction. 54: Should You Wear A Mask During Covid?

Leigh is on a cricket trip for the Wanderers through central and north Queensland. So Skin and Haz take the intro… not the smoothest you will hear. The FOTS cards have been delivered so the boys discuss their aesthetics, and find a departing Englishman to present a FOTS card to, on one condition.  Leigh has targeted “Karen from Bunnings” in his new parody song titled Wear Your Mask. The boys discuss the issue with one of the segment names they have been running with, and Haz produces a segment on Quoits that is filled with innuendo. There is a phone call to Leigh as he is in Charters Towers to discuss his cricket and we are lucky enough to have Luke “Fox” Feldman on the line too to give some detail about what it is like to tour with Leigh.  Hosted on Acast. 53. Bede Durbidge: “I was named after a drunk Hitchhiker”

Haz is up and about for this episode as we speak to Australian professional surfer, Bede Durbidge. Bede spent 13 seasons on the professional tour but it is his time since that we enjoy speaking about.   Mitch and Leigh declare their lack of surfing knowledge and are socially outcast as Bede talks through how he liked to spend his “Lay Days”, what “Popping a Wheelie” means and the surfers he liked most on tour. He talks through the art of making yourself redundant at work which really resonates with Leigh.Bede explains the origins of his kid’s names… which leads to reminiscing about the drunk hitchhiker that inspired his own name. It is a serious battle for the beverages as Haz plugs Alchemy (shock) but Bede returns serve by recommending the beer company he is co-founder of, Balter Brewing Company.  Do you have another guest that you believe we should interview: https://www.wegotthechocolates.com.au/contact-us  Hosted on Acast. 52. Surprisingly Satisfactory Review

The launching of FOTS Cards. An official recognition to our Friends Of The Show; the boys discuss how useful they will be.  One overly informative 5 star review caught our attention after last week’s episode. Beansprout Supernova turned out to be an old friend of ours who we had to get on the phone.  Haz is the victim of a QLD Cricket traditional prank which is the cricket equivalent to the old “left handed screwdriver” trick. Skins Stats is back where Skin gets to use his university degree to break down the home and away record of the world’s best bowlers.  Leighthal found a random mouthguard in his boot the day after his footy game.
